A fragrant combination of long grain basmati, slow cooked with fresh herbs and spices. Served with a mint yogurt raita.
Indian flat-bread baked fresh in the tandoor.
Bhatti Indian Grill is an ultra-authentic North Indian restaurant in the heart of Murray Hill in New York City that’s refined yet affordable, upscale and still comfortable.
Kebabs are the real specialty of the house—and they’re anything but typical. The name of the restaurant refers to a special open fire grill used in the Indian state of Punjab. It was there that, generations ago, hunters would strive to achieve the freshest meals by carrying a grill that could be used in the same forests where they found their catch. The recipes and methods they used are recreated here, and in their tradition, each dish is finished over lava rocks which impart a signature flavor.
The appetizer varieties include Murg Melai Kebab, chicken marinated in green chili, cardamom, and cream cheese before being served alongside a fresh fig dipping sauce. For a vegetarian option, the Tandoori Chaat consists of diced apple, bell peppers, and pineapple tossed in a spicy balsamic marinade and grilled to a light char. A nice transition from the kebabs, Bhatti ki Chaamp (Lamb Chops) are marinated with a house blend of cumin, fenugreek, mint, ginger, and garlic. Unlike Indian-style lamb chops elsewhere, these lack yogurt or sour cream in their marinades, keeping the flavor pure and tender. Goat is the star ingredient in Bhuna Gosht, a tender dish made with garlic, ginger, and a secret-recipe brown sauce that’s infused with saffron. For fish lovers, there is Meen Moiley, a specialty from the backwaters of Kerala featuring the catch of the day in a green chili and lime juice curry, a creamy yet citrusy concoction that gets sopped up by basketfuls of naan.
Pick from a variety of kebabs and curries and watch as our master chefs work their magic at the tandoor.
Paneer Tikka Masala - was good. Actually better than some other places in midtown, yet not the best. I would say keep your expectations lower...
Murgh Malai Kebab -- was average on a dryer side.
Naan - was fresh and yummy. great!
Ras Malai - disappointing!!! The portion was TINY and the taste was below average. Definitely NOT worth it for the money.
Delivery: was great: fast, reliable and pleasant/polite delivery person.

The kebabs are excellent, food is pretty authentic, portions are good. Good choice for delivery.

Great food - tiny portions. Two entrees, bread and rice does not even come close to being enough food. Crazy small veg entrees. I mean are they going to go bankrupt to put a few more pieces of cauliflower in something? Or a little more sauce? It is way way too expensive for what you get - now we have to go out and get dinner somewhere.

Best Indian food in Curry Hill. My fav by far is the Gobi Musalum

I give up. I have had food from here about 8 times and I think it came on time maybe twice. I have had to call every time to find out why my delivery had not arrived yet. What is the worst is they actually have forgotten it every time, not late or lost. I like the food but I can't wait over an hour for a 35 minute delivery time. If you are hungry or have time constraints, keep looking. I'm very upset by this.

Great Indian! The Chicken Tikka Masala is amazing. It is my go-to spot for Indian food!

Best Indian I've had in the city. Not sure who's cooking the chicken in the kitchen, but they deserve a medal and/or trophy. Great curries. Love this place!

Always good, regardless of what I've ordered. One of the best Indian options on Seamless.

Worst sh*t ever. Small portions, under cooked food. Awful.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. They are terrible. Awful customer service. Food takes over 2 hours to arrive. How are they still in business?

Good Indian food with decent sized portions, fast delivery. Didn't have any problems.

Bhatti is my favorite Indian food in all of curry hill! The food is reasonably priced, a good portion and super delicious! It sometimes takes a bit for delivery but I'm fine with it bc is rather order from here than elsewhere. Don't forget the nann when you order.

Did not receive garlic naan as ordered. Portions were small.
Posted 2 years ago by Michael W.
In the sea of Indian places on Lex- this is my go to. You cant beat the lunch special for $10 and the naan is so fresh and amazing. Even the kids love it!
Posted 2 years ago by trish N.
- best Indian food we ever had
- food is tasty and fresh (the naan freshly from the tandoor which is delicious)
- we have been to the actual restaurant which is nice and trendy with exceptionally kind staff
- bhatti da murg and murg makhanwala (butter chicken) is our favorite
- highly recommended!

Pathetic service. I ordered 75 mins ago and they tell me the kitchen never received my order that too in an arrogant tone.
Never ordering again as I will always doubt if the food will ever reach.

Took forever for the order to be delivered.

Located amidst dozens of Indian Restaurants, most of which we've tried, good thing we finally found this one. This is *by far* the best Indian delivery in the area. Even some of the great Indian restaurants around here, when doing delivery, send out sub-quality food. Bhatti, please continue sending out amazing food, even though it would be easy to cut corners like your competition has—you are basically the only ones doing this now and you've definitely gotten our attention!

Took over an hour and a half and the food was cold

Samosa soup? I thought they forgot the samosas, until I realized that they were in the soup container completely submerged in raita and onion chutney. What is the point of frying something to then submerge it in liquid? Chicken tikka masala was a bit too sweet for my taste. The saag was decent, and the tandoori chicken drumsticks were really delicious!

It took a little long to arrive, but the food was legitimately very good. I will order from here again.
Posted 2 years ago by John T.
I order from here quite a lot and it is good, standard Indian food. Some days better than others, but I've never regretted getting food from here, and I won't be stopping in the future. I can't comment on the whole menu, as I order the same things over and over again. Is it wrong that I want to drink the masala sauce? If so, then I don't want to be right.
The only down side is that there is usually quite the wait. But hey, maybe they're just THAT popular.

I have tried almost all Indian take-out/delivery places in Murray Hill/Midtown/Upper East areas and honestly this place gets my vote for offering one of the most consistently good Indian food. Their chicken tikka masala is on point - the sauce is not watery and the indian spices are not too strong that it's actually enjoyable to eat. I don't know if this is the most authentic place but as someone who's a fan of Americanized indian cuisine, this satisfies the craving. Their spinach dishes are pretty good as well.

Great, and reasonably authentic

My first order from Bhatti rates quite high. I ordered two different kabobs, one chicken (murg ka khas tikka) and one lamb (boti kebab), as well as bhel puri and roti. The delivery was within their estimate and the food arrived at the proper temperature. The roti and the bhel puri were both as good as I have gotten from any other local Indian restaurant and better than most. But the two kebabs were excellent: tender, moist, and flavorful. The accompanying spicy relish complements the kebabs nicely. I'll be back.

I live in the area so as most of you know there are quite a few indian restaurants to choose from. I love chicken tikki masala so I spent the last couple months trying it from all different places. Hands down this is the BEST. I am borderline obsessed with this place.

This is by far the best Indian take out I've had in NY though I must admit I haven't tried most of the other restaurants on "curry hill." I would also recommend going for the all-you-can-eat lunch.
The last time i ordered the delivery boy never showed up and i called again, taking another 40 minutes. Still, the food is excellent and the lunch boxes are a great value.
Delivery was much quicker this time (30min) There lunch boxes are still the best bang for the buck ive found on seamless

Extremely small portions and over price food. Nothing special. We will never order again.

Love this place. The chicken never disappoints!

My favorite Indian place in Murray Hill. The food is delicious, especially the Chicken Makhanwala and the Saag Paneer. I also always order a Sweet Lassi, just perfect for dessert. Delivery is usually on time, but not always, there were occasions when it took much longer than indicated.

I have been waiting for over 2 hrs for my food delivery when I stay 15 min away and its still not here. Even if the food is good there is no point if its going to arrive when I am sooo angry and my hunger is dead. They called after 1 hr 40 min of me placing the order to say the delivery guy dropped my food so they are sending a fresh one out and it willl be there in ten min and its been 25 min since then and when I called them they were so rude. I am very very very disappointed. I demand a refund.

This Indian restaurant has to be the most authentic in the city. You would think they are a spice factory the way dishes are served--aromatic and incredibly flavorful. What's best is the food isn't too heavy either.
Posted 3 years ago by Greg P.
WORST indian food i've ever had...and i've had A LOT of indian food. their lamb tastes like liver (if you like liver paste, go for it). Their sauces are actually way oilier and creamier than your average indian food. And for this class of cuisine, it's overpriced for the small portions you get compared to most of the other indian restaurants on seamless.

Very quick and LOVE the food here.

I'm in love with the saag paneer. Also the garlic naan. Even the steamed rice by itself is delicious.
Posted 3 years ago by Thompson C.
Bhatti has pretty good food, but their delivery is INCREDIBLY inconsistent. They can be a few minutes early, but also over an hour late.
Posted 3 years ago by Michael M.
I ordered lunch today and the chicken tasted as if it was marinated in salt and only salt. Not to mention that I was charged over $10.00 for 4 small pieces of chicken! I was so upset when the food came and it was like an appetizer instead of lunch. I would never recommend this place. The food is horrible and overpriced.

We made the mistake of ordering food from Bhatti grill. The samosas were very old and stale and drowned in salty yogurt sauce to try to diminish the staleness. The food was extremely salty - I could only down a quarter of my food even after being hungry all day with a raging appetite before the food arrived. The rice was hard and oily (not to mention the food was cold on arrival). The only decent thing was the tandoori chicken. Overall, this place has very high prices compared to the portions they serve and the food does not live up to the price. There are a million other indian hole in the wall restaurants that are much better than this place. Sorely disappointed. They have to bring up the quality of their food if they want repeat business - a restaurant cannot survive without repeat business. Hope they will listen.

I have tried many upscale Indian restaurant but this is The best Indian restaurant in town if you are looking for authentic Indian Food.My favorite is non-veg lunch box , comes with chicken curry, vegetable of the day and lentils of the day.kebab, rice and nan bread.A complete fulfilling lunch.I order this every day and love it.
I tried Murg Malai Kebab, so tasty and juicy."Rogan Josh" (lamb stew) and Chicken Kadahi are THE BEST.But chicken Kadahi is not on seamless menu. I don't know why.
They deliver within 30-40 min.Never had problem with the delivery.
Posted 3 years ago by Muhammad A.
They did not send any silverware, as instructed. It took an hour and 10 minutes, with a displayed wait time of 30-45 minutes, and they did not label which one dish was tthe spicy one. Finally, the food arrived lukewarm. Very unhappy with this place.
Posted 3 years ago by Scott C.
Have ordered from Bhatti many times and mostly enjoyed the food. However, this time I spent $20 on a Boti Kebab and garlic naan and all that shows up is 5 tiny pieces of luke-warm meat, NO rice and a container of chutney filled 1/6 of the way. That's a complete rip-off and Bhatti can be sure I'll be taking my business elsewhere as a result.

Best in the area. If you want your lunch on time, order EARLY and, like most busy and good places, you might not get it hot. I haven't had much of a problem, however (4 avenue blocks). Anyway, the sauces are not over salted, aren't greasy like some can be, and have that freshly assembled flavor that so many simply do not have. Perfect for tomorrow's lunch as well since the servings are a healthy size! p.s. if you like medium spice, get the "hot" version. You have to ask if you want it actually hot.

Delicious kababs and the chicken xacuti is superb. Biryani was very flavorful and it all arrived within 50 min. HUGE portions. Very good

They DO NOT deliver on time. Not even close. I have ordered from them twice thinking the first time might have been an exception, but they do not deliver even close to on time.
Posted 4 years ago by Lakshya M.
I dropped to 3 stars because I ordered $30 worth of food and instead of the flavor nan and a plain they brought 2 plains. But what really got me is that it came with no rice. I will adjust if I choose to order here again.
I wish I could give 10 STARS. Here's why...
I ordered and saw that there was a free appetizer of the chef's choice. Unfortunately it DID NOT come. I had ordered a lot of food so I thought I should let them know. When they found out that had happened they not only sent the app, I thought I was receiving a care package. This EXEMPLARY service has ensured that I will keep ordering from here. Although I have had much better rice pudding, the rest of the food especially the naan was really good and cheaper than other highly rated Indian places.

terrible service.....food comes in over 85 minutes( and not the 30-45 as advertised)...mismatched delivery timings...delivery guys and restaurant lie through their teeth on the getting in touch with customers on delivery.............will never order from this joint and advise others not to as well
Posted 4 years ago by Subhashis S.
Love this place. Food is spot on - really tasty - I recommend the garlic naan, tikka masala and saag paneer. The service was S-L-O-W!! And after dining there and having the same experience, I'd simply say that if you order in, just know you'll probably wait the better part of an hour for your food. But man, it'll be worth it...
Posted 4 years ago by Laura A.
Food portion are VERY small. Good thing I have my own hummus to supplement. I ordered the Haryali Chooza...a few pieces of chicken in a dish, that's it. I will be honest and say it did taste good though.
I ordered a coffee and none came with my order, so I called and they said they don't serve coffee...maybe it shouldn't be on the menu? They then offered me something "next time", but when there is no way to know when that is how would they remember to credit me? I finally got them to send me a masala chai tea, even though I didn't want tea.
After an hour I finally got my tea.... a six ounce cup with one ounce spilled in the bag.... and it tastes like garbage.
Won't be ordering from here again.

Excellent kebabs, great flavor as well (veg and non veg). Gilauti Kebab is definitely the best! But love the variety of Chicken kebabs as well. Paneer and Mushroom Kebabs are the best veggie kebabs...

We ordered quite late so I wasn't sure what to expect. The samosa (singular) came soaked in a sauce (I actually thought it was a soup until fishing around and finding the samosa), which was a bit strange, but it was still tasty. The naan was a bit greasy. However, the chicken tikka masala and rice were Delicious. The chicken was tender and the sauce was very good. Probably the best chicken tikka I've had in a long time. I would gladly order again.

Usually very good, however, not so tonight. Burnt Gulab Jamun and a just o.k chicken tikka.

Amazing food but unfortunately exactly the opposite in terms of delivery service... my last order took 2 hours to be delivered, the earliest any other order has arrived is 1 hour and so far every time I have ordered I have had to call in and check what the status is! If only they could fix this they would be perfect. The Chef Gaurav is clearly brilliant with his cuisine.

I'm definitely an Indian food novice, but there was no denying that this was delicious and affordable. The Paneer Tiki Masala was amazing - an item I know I'll reorder again and again. The naan was just ok in my opinion, but the rest of the flavors were so delightful, I didn't mind only having a small piece of it.

Too long for delivery and this website has a wrong address of 18th Street between 5th & 6th. Otherwise, I would not have bothered.

This is absolutely the worst order experience I had on Seamlessweb.
The food took almost two hours to arrive and they were completely cold. The delivery boy seemed to be very angry by pressing my door buzz on all the time (imagine someone knocking your door non-stop even you are rushing to the door)
I totally understand why it took so long: The restaurant is 18th street between 5 and 6 and my place is midtown east at turtle bay area. But if you couldn't delivery to that far, I understand. Just don't promise you will do it within 45 mins but did it in 2 times of the time expected.
Anyways, it is one-star.

Take FOREVER to deliver... food is cold by the time it gets delivered
Posted 6 years ago by Yajur A.
They ran out of the samosa, and rather than call me to ask what I wanted instead, they decided to substitute it with a random appetizer that did NOT look appetizing at all! Luckily, Seamless Web has great customer service and will refund the money... Also, the small portions does not match the price!

Posted 6 years ago by vandana g.
This place has come a long way since it opened. My first couple of experiences were not good with taking out. But since then they have improved a 100%. The food got much better, and the service too. I also recently ate at the restaurant and that was a very good experience. The staff was very attentive, the food was great, it's a small place, but its clean and cute. I would highly recommend it. I would recommend any of the tikkas. Good for the price point.
Posted 6 years ago by Tehmina C.
This was a terrible experience. The portions were so small I thought they forgot to put the whole order in. I received 2 (TWO) pieces of chicken of the Bhatti Ka Murgh that were too chewy to enjoy. I received 3 (THREE) very small pieces of chicken Tikka Masala. There was NO RICE, NO BREAD as promised as part of the lunch special "chicken box". Barely enough food for an appetizer, and half of it was inedible.
I also ordered raita and garlic naan which were fine.
However, I have to believe that someone ate my entree or they forgot to send it. No way is it worth the money. I am still hungry and I will NEVER order from here again.
